| TERRY VENABLES CHOOSES PROTEC. Protec are joining Terry Venables on a new
full time football and education program due to launch in north
west London in September 2012. Terry says this is an opportunity that we
have been working on for some considerable time. Protec’s record
as a leading independent football academy speaks for itself and is
my reason for choosing to partner with them on what will be a
fantastic opportunity for young players. Pete Edwards Protec’s head coach says "We are very proud to have been chosen by Terry Venables, the former England, Barcelona and Spurs manager, as his partner in this project". As one of the top managers in the world, Terry provides a wealth of experience that will greatly enhance our students’ opportunities. We are delighted that Terry has decided to choose us above some of the other leading contenders for the project. The Program will run in conjunction with a
very well respected college in north west London offering two Btec
sport courses. Level 2 Diploma in Sport, and Diploma level 3.
Daily training sessions with our U.E.F.A trained coaches will take
place fitting neatly around the academic curriculum, with weekly
fixtures playing in the youth conference and E J A leagues, there
will also be the opportunity to play in the Reading Elite squad
run exclusively by Protec. If you live in the North West, West London or
surrounding areas we want to hear from you To apply for Btec 2 click here Btec 3 click here |

fantastic performance by the newly formed squad. There were also two goals
from Scott Melville and one from Daniel McCulock that kept the royals in
front for more than 80 minutes with scores at six five to Reading
development, but with two minutes to go M.K levelled with a late penalty
to even things up at six a piece on 90 minutes. Man of the match Scott

Protec Royals played their first game under the new Reading associated
development banner against a very skilful M.K.Dons side on Wednesday
evening. The first twenty five minutes the dons took control going 1
nil up. Against a Protec Royals side that had a number of young under 15
and 16 players put together for their first game. The Protec Royals side

signing of the Millwall striker Steve Morison.
The 27-year-old Wales international forward is believed to have signed a
three-year deal, after joining for an undisclosed fee. The move caps a

just two years ago.

Steve Morison leads Welsh line against England
Fast forward less than 3 years when the Millwall striker is set to lead
the Welsh line against England in front of 80,000 fans at the Milleniun
Stadium. People ask me if it is a dream come true and the clichéd answer
is 'yes' said the Enfield born forward, but it is not really but because
only 2 years ago I was thinking about getting back into the football
league. I cant say I dreamed about playing international football or even
in the championship. I wanted to, don’t get me wrong but it has happened
so fast that I have not had time to sit down and take it all in.

Lionel Messi’s body double is an ex Protec student
Ex
Protec player Hussein Isa is featuring in the latest Addidas commercial as
double for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi. Hussein, who is currently in
Canvey islands first team, spent two years at Protec obtaining a BTEC
National Certificate in sport and was one of the most technically gifted
players in the academy. He has recently won a trial with Dagenham and
Redbridge and is hoping his hard work pays off in a contract at pro level.
Hussain confessed yesterday: "It makes me smile that billions around
the world think it is Messi when actually it's me - a normal bloke from
Essex." Hussain told how he was flown out to Barcelona to stand in for
Messi because the goal ace could not get time off. He thought he was being
given a bit part in the iconic ad after attending an audition - and was
"gobsmacked" to spend three days filming the starring role.
When he is not playing in the Ryman Premier League, Hussain - who still
lives with his parents in a Dagenham semi - teaches PE to under-12s. Read
